better; 902 8ts or 902 8as?

i have a pair of 902 8as and one 8t
whats the difference between the two?
if the "T" version is better i might be able to get this one. otherwise,,,,

"T" has a loading cap.

I think the difference is what Bowtie mentioned. Take of the cap (need shorter screws) and a T becomes an A. You can tell it's all males here, turning to a discussion about T and A. But I digress.

The loading cap increases power handling and allows a lower crossover. As far as better sound, have to admit not working much with ceramic drivers as I prefer the Alnico.

there's nothing better than a little T&A discussion

the T does have the cap and also a felt under the cover as well. the B it's paired with also has a loading cap but no felt. and according to the GPA driver index the A,B, and T have the same diaphram. well it would be nice to have a matched pair of end caps but not a bill and a half nice.

You should be able to get a piece of felt for less than that.

The T stands for Theater. I think the 902-8A's sound better IMO.But what has already been mentioned you can remove the loading cap put in a piece of felt and shorter diaphragm screws and you essentially will have an A.
